Takuto Ando (安藤拓人, Andō Takuto^?) is the main character from Chousei Kantai Sazer-X, also a person who transform into Lio-Sazer (ライオセイザー, Raioseizā^?).

History

Takuto Ando is a 18 year old hotblooded Earthling who dreams to be a F1 racer and to be acknowledged by his grandfather Soujiro Ando. He is working part-time, and in the early series he was see with a variety of part-time jobs.

He often "plunges blindly" into things, but he is very fond of his grandfather who told him that when he would be 18, Space Pirate would attack the Earth. Soujiro gave him the Strage Ring, a device that allows him to transform (equip) as Lio-Sazer.

After the battle was over, he moved to England with his father.

With the Strage Ring, Takuto calls the Knuckle-Cross which allows him to equip into balance-type warrior Lio-Sazer (ライオセイザー Raioseizā), whose element is fire, with lion's motif. He also armed with Lio-Breaker (ライオブレイカー Raiobureikā), and his personal capsule is Lion-1 (ライオン1 Raion 1).

Transformation

To put on the combat gear, Takuto unite the Strage Ring around his right wrist and the Knuckle-Cross on his left hand, crossing his arms to form an "X" while shouting X-Sōchaku! (X-装着!, lit. "X-Equip!").

Attacks

• Knuckle Heat (ナックルヒート, Nakkuru Hīto^?): A punch with fire energy activated by pressing the button on the Knuckle-Cross. First used in Episode 5.

Lio-Breaker Attacks

• Lion Cross (ライオン クロス, Raion Kurosu^?): Surrounded by several opponents, Lio-Sazer stabbing the Lio-Breaker in the ground to generate a fiery explosion which disintegrates them. Used in Episode 22 and movie.
• Stag Thunder (スタッグサンダー, Sutaggu Sandā^?): A powerful lightning attack with the power of the Cosmo-Capsule "Stag-7". An electrified stag-shaped projectile makes lightning strike forward, launched using the Lio-Breaker. First used in Episode 17.
• Magma Spear (マグマスピアー, Maguma Supiā^?): A powerful water attack using the power of the Cosmo-Capsule "Spear-8". A swordfish-shaped energy projectile strikes the enemy directly, launched using the Lio-Breaker. First used in Episode 23.
• Pigeon Cutter (ピジョンカッター, Pijon Kattā^?): An attack technique with a wind attribute that uses the power of Cosmo-Capsule "Pigeon-10". A pigeon-shaped energy turns into a vacuum projectile and attacks at high speed, launched using the Lio-Breaker. First used in Episode 28.
• Swan Flap (スワンフラップ, Suwan Furappu^?): A movement technique that uses the power of the Cosmo-Capsule "Swan-6". A swan-shaped energy stays in the body, allows Lio-Sazer to move at super speed. Wind attribute. First used in Episode 33.
• Lio-Fire (ライオファイヤー, Raiofaiyā^?): Lio-Sazer's most powerful attack. The Lio-Breaker released a fiery energy with the shaped of flaming lion, that burn out the opponent. First used in Episode 1, and the most frequently used in the series because Takuto does not use other Cosmo-Capsules very often.

• Ox Attack (オックスアタック, Okkusu Atakku^?): It is released using the power of Cosmo-Capsule "Ox-9". Not used in the play.
• Wolf Share (ウルフシェアー, Urufu Sheā^?): Activated using the power of Cosmo-Capsule "Wolf-5". Distribute the flame energy of the capsule to allies. Not used in the play.
• Mantis Buckler (マンティスバックラー, Mantisu Bakkurā^?): Activated using the power of Cosmo-Capsule "Mantis-11". Lightning attribute. Not used in the play.
• Heat Whale (ヒートホエール, Hīto Hoēru^?): Activated using the power of Cosmo-Capsule "Whale-12". Water attribute. Not used in the play.
